Sarginsons Precision Components is a Light Alloy Foundry and has been developed to manufacture aluminium castings utilising the latest technology and manufacturing processes.

Materials

Aluminium Alloys to BS1490:1988 specifications

Primary ranges:-

LM 2, LM 4, LM 6, LM 9, LM13, LM 20, LM 22, LM 25 and comparative American standards European specifications.

Manufacturing Process

(i) Gravity die casting using : -

(ii) Precision sand casting from:-

(iii) Sand Cores

Used in production of Gravity die castings and Sand castings when applicable.

Primary core manufacturing methods:-

Cold Box, Shell, Air Set & Co2

Weight range

Gravity Die casting: 0.1 Kgs to 60 Kgs
Sand casting: 0.1 Kgs to 1000 Kgs

Volumes

Flexible production facilities allow us to meet the demand for low and high volume requirements, especially low volume and prototype work

Sarginsons embrace the working practice of planning, monitoring and control of all aspects of a project and the motivation of all those involved in it to achieve the project objectives on time and to the specific cost, quality and performance taking designs through to supplying fully machined, assembled and finished components.

Where Sarginsons are required to subcontract services, due to the specifications of customers, we tier the processing of the part to preferred suppliers who compliment the core business activities of our company.

Our continuous investment in CAD CAM and other expensive design facilities allows engineering ideals to be developed and improved through the use of the aforementioned facilities.

Once the original concept has been formatted into an acceptable production part, the improvements in foundry production methods will enhance yield, quality and subsequently have an affect on costs.

Manufacturing method automation is driven by advancements within the industry and is installed and developed in our company by our Technical Department in conjunction with the engineering and toolroom business units operating from the same site.
