Environmental Policy
1. The company will comply with the spirit as well as the letter of environmental legislation and approved codes of practice and will co-operate fully and maintain open relationships with regulatory authorities.
2. The company will assess the environmental affects of its products, projects, policies and operations, with a view to reducing and controlling the environmental impact. It will maintain an Environmental Management System throughout its production processes.
The system will address the use of energy, raw materials, water and waste and will seek to limit environmental accidents. It will develop contingency procedures in case of such accidents and will evaluate, control and reduce, where practicable, noise, fume and pollution both within and outside of the site. It will seek to continually improve environmental performance where it is reasonably practical and economically viable to do so.
3. The company will foster an understanding of the environmental issues arising from its business activities amongst its employees, suppliers, outsourcers, customers and also within the local community. It will report publicly on the company’s environmental objectives and performance.
4. A biannual management review meeting chaired by the managing director, will be the strategic body on environmental matters and will commission, agree, close out and or reset environmental objectives, targets and responsibilities consistent with the company’s environmental policy.
